Ah…the life of an artist is hard.
Already I hear your sighs of agreement, but the fact is it’s not really hard. You simply paint pictures, leave them to dry and then move on to the next one.
Finally you have stacks of drying canvases, piled ten high in every available corner of living space and you can breathe contentedly.
Then there is the other part of the equation, where art is made to be shared.
Sharing it can be a problem particularly if you’re not the sharing type. Not necessarily evil just rather shy and retiring.
You feel compelled to share it, but don’t how to go about it? That’s when things get hard. Or does it?
It depends on how you look at it.
You can choose to look at it in a multitude of different ways which should not be too difficult since you’re already an artist and thinking creatively should be second nature.
A challenge? A fun filled opportunity to meet new people? A chance to make money perhaps even garner your long awaited fifteen minutes of fame that Andy Warhol promised back in the 80’s?
As the late Steve Jobs of Apple declared ‘reality is bendable’, it’s really up to you.
As with most things in life.
For me, I like writing and talking about art in case you haven’t noticed. You could be doing worse things with your time.
Then again you could be making art as well as talking about it, so people can have a good choice to choose from.
Which luckily I managed to do as well, as hopefully these galleries will testify for your viewing pleasure.
Have a lovely Friday.

Hi, I'm Jimmy.
On this site, I share how writing and painting can provide meaning and enhance our lives.
