Two quotes from Rumi to get the day started.
“Only from the heart can you touch the sky.”
“Beauty surrounds us.”
Wise old chap that he was. I wondered did he sit at home in his bathrobe dejected about the trajectory of his life, wondering if he could take another five hours of day-time soaps until it was time to order his take away? (No doubt Indian)
Perish the image.
Did he sit on a mountain top with writer’s block some days, lamenting the fact that he had to come up with something wise to say in the next twenty-four hours or his reputation was shot?
Maybe a tad closer to the truth but methinks we’re letting our imagination run away us.
I don’t know much about the man but I like the way he thinks. His thoughts and murmurings give me food for thought and sometimes those thoughts turn into action.
This roughly translates as paintings.
So expected more new stuff. My art supplies supplier is having a sale. Now there is a wise man.
For balance, I’ll leave the last word to a lady…one I have always greatly admired from afar. The one and only Audrey Hepburn.
“You can always tell what kind of a person a man really thinks you are by the earrings he gives you.”
So much wisdom today.
How does that translate into tangibles?
