When you start acquiring any new skill you go through a journey of sorts.
You eventually reach a stage where you experiment with the new found talent. Stretching it to find limits. Trying it out in different situations.
I remember painting with a small set of watercolors in a College canteen once. I was getting odd looks, since then I’ve kept my public art sojourns limited to a pen and notebook.
Hasty sketches, discreetly done.
One thing I have noticed over the years is that no matter how secret you try to keep your sketching exploits, people will automatically know you are sketching them.
I’ve never really understood how or why, but they do.
One of life’s little mysteries I guess.
